Masks have also been used as a tool for social criticism and as a medium to increase the power of their wearer. Welcome to make your own mask! The workshop is open to all ages, free of charge and materials are provided. The mask workshop is facilitated by artist Abida Jahan Shuma, who guides and assists in the making of masks with techniques used in Bengali festive culture.

Is there a map to guide a way inside another person? Does one even know the world within themself? Are there common signs which would help us to read one another? Language sometimes feels so flawed, it only opens one level of another person. Much of the communication is microcommunication, which can even go unnoticed by the communicators themselves. The unknown consciousness within us guides our behavior. What is the zone of unknown consciousness like?
